Meet Korri McFann Spolar

I began my Disney career in 1995 and freely admit that I came to the Walt Disney World Resort to work in weddings. I’ve worked in all facets of Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings over the last 15 years and now lead the strategic vision for weddings and honeymoons. I have planned and executed over 500 weddings and fully understand a bride’s needs.

I have seen the destination wedding industry grow over 400% in the last decade and have helped position Disney as an industry leader. After all, we do ‘being a princess’ better than anyone! From Cinderella to Giselle, Disney practically wrote the book on fairy tales and happily-ever-afters. That story combined with Disney’s known excellence for Guest Service, makes the idea of a wedding or honeymoon at a Disney Destination a dream come true for thousands of couples each year.

In 2007, I helped launch Disney’s Couture Collection by David Tutera to offer couples all of the glamorous and stylized elements of a celebrity wedding. Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings planning team masterfully executes David Tutera’s four distinct visions to make his luxurious designs well within reach for couples everywhere.

Whether it is a ball fit for a queen, or a ceremony as intimate as the love you share, we here at Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings work to make your every wedding wish come true!

Congratulations!!! I’m planning a dcl wedding for 2011!!! After being proposed to at cinderellas royal table in the magic kingdome my fiancee and I knew we needed a magical Disney wedding ive always dreamed of. In the beginning of the planning process I was stuck between a dcl wedding or a wishes collection, when I called the disney fairytale weddings the woman who answered the phone was not so magical she was not very enthusiastic and not much help with information and cost. I was not very sure if DFTW was the route we wanted after all. However after all the memories and times I’ve been to the happiest place of earth I knew I wanted to be an official Disney Princess for a day so I called again and the next woman was nicer and actually congratulated us on our engagement. The woman gave my information to a coordinator and after a week and some days had passed I got a phone call from my soon to be coordinator I was thrilled! She was nice and initially attentive to my needs. We decided to do a dcl wedding since we loved the thought of a tropical destination wedding but with the magic of Disney! We booked our rooms (still have more in the process) and received our planning kit. Since I’ve decided on a dcl wedding I feel like I’ve been put down a peg in the Disney Fairy Tale Wedding process. I’ve resulted in googleing & going on the DISBords like crazy trying to in vision my future dcl Castaway Cay wedding on the new Dream since no one seems to have information regarding the cake cutting ceremony and the whole wedding process. I feel like DCL brides might not get the same attention as a bride in the wishes collection would get, and right now I’m feeling this process is losing it’s magic again. I’m hoping that as it gets closer to my wedding date the magic returns and our wedding uphold the Disney name, and I don’t regret spending all of not only my hard earned money but my family and guest money as well. Thank you for listening and keeping my happiness in mind.

    Sincerely,
    DCL Future Bride 2011

The wedding planning is great…but what about those of us that are already married, honeymooned at Disney World and went on a cruise…but would like to celebrate our anniversary at WDW?
