Real Wedding Spotlight: Sarah & Matthew

This dynamic duo met at work, but bonded over their children’s love for Walt Disney World. So when it came time to tie the knot, it only seemed natural to unite their two families at the place where dreams come true. The color pink is a favorite of both Matthew’s daughter and Sarah, so it was incorporated throughout the event- even down to a pink ombre dress!

    Kids at a wedding are a special blessing. We had several attend ours back in April 2010 and some of the best memories I carry from that day was our friend’s daughter Heather who was all of 6. She was THRILLED to be at Disneyworld and danced and had fun in her pretty dress and ended up in about 1/3 of our reception pictures. It comes across so prominently that she’s having a whole world of fun that we now sometimes joke with her mom & dad that we’re so glad that we could have our wedding at HER party (tongue-in-cheek).

    To keep things simple we didn’t give the kids any duties in the ceremony but that was just our choice to keep things simple and low stress. We did strongly encourage all of our friends and relatives to bring kids. After all it’s Disneyworld and I’m sure any child over the age of 5 will treasure the memory of attending a wedding while also having fun with Mickey, Minnie, Buzz Lightyear and and Mike Wazowski!

    Gorgeous wedding. I love that the children were such a part of the wedding day. The floral is beautiful.
