The Wedding ABC’s continue with one of my favorite letters- ‘K’!

J is for Jewelry

• I’m all about the jewels- after all, what better way is there to shine on your special day? Jewelry is a great way to add color, carry out a theme, or add a sentimental touch to your look. Classic pearls, flashy colored diamonds or a statement necklace will make you feel every bit of fabulous as you say “I do”. But don’t forget- the most precious jewel of the day is you!

K is for Kid’s Activities

• I always love attending events where my boys can be entertained and have as much fun as us adults. It means a lot to your guests when you make sure that the little ones are taken care of. Consider having a coloring station, kid-friendly menu or an appearance filled with hugs from beloved Disney characters. Including your smaller guests in your big day allows your loved ones to sit back, relax and enjoy the reception as a family.  

L is for Location

• Location, location, location! I often tell couples that choosing a location is one of the most important decisions they will have to make. The perfect spot can shape the theme and feel of your entire event. It’s important to take into consideration whether you want to be in or outside, what scenery you would ideally choose and your guest count.  Though it may seem overwhelming, we have so many wonderful options to choose from- everything from beaches to boardwalks to a traditional pavilion. G is for Guestbook

• A little bit of creativity goes a long way- and a guestbook is no exception! Turning your guestbook into a memorable keepsake guarantees that you will remember your day (in a big way!) and have something to treasure for years to come.

H is for Honeymoon

• Did you know that 9 out of 10 couples take a honeymoon? Your honeymoon is the perfect time to try something new and adventurous, or just simply sit back and relax as a couple.

I is for Inspiration

• When planning your big day, use plenty of resources to gather ideas and inspiration. Snap photos of unique hairstyles to show your stylist or tear out pictures from magazines of to-die-for menu items. The more prepared you are with your ideas, the easier it will be for you and your planner to communicate.

D is for Décor

• In my opinion, décor is one of the most fun things to dream about when planning your wedding. You can cater it to a specific theme, holiday or around a palate of colors that you find fabulous. My favorite thing about all of our venues is that many of them already provide more than enough scenery and theming for your special day. I suggest taking a look at your surroundings before you decide to break the bank on décor- you may be pleasantly surprised!

E is for Engagement Photos

• You’ve got the ring- ready to show it off? I love looking at couples’ engagement pictures and seeing the excitement in their eyes. Be sure to bring a change of clothes, make it personal and take a few risks when planning your photo session. Relax, have fun and let your personality shine!

F is for Fireworks

• Besides the sparks you see flying when you steal a kiss, I’d say a great fireworks show is the next best thing! I’m always pleased with the whimsical and colorful backdrop that fireworks provide for photos. Whether you choose to take in the gorgeous night sky above a Dessert Party in Epcot, or make the daytime a little brighter with a personal sendoff at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, fireworks definitely won’t disappoint.

A is for Aulani

• Calling all grooms-to-be! From Pac Man to traditional floral, boutonnieres are a chance for you to express your sense of style and personality. I love when grooms get creative with what is pinned on their suit jacket- especially if it has special meaning.

C is for Candy Buffets

• One of the hottest trends this season combines two of my favorite things: bright colors & sweet treats! I love candy buffets because they are an interactive station that allows your guests to create a truly unique and personal dessert. And don’t forget- patterned Chinese takeout boxes, clear bags adorned with a fun bow or personalized containers create the perfect finishing touch for this chic and yummy buffet.
