I’m not sure about you but my boys and I have been fervently waiting for today’s release of “Oz The Great and Powerful.” I think I may be a little more excited, however, to share some inspiration from one of my favorite films growing up!

I love when great entertainment and weddings combine forces- and what’s more exciting than transforming your wedding guests into The Land of Oz? With the help of Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and The Great Movie Ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios guests can do just that – taking them on a fantastic journey into the movies. Complete with a lifelike set depicting The Wizard of Oz, The Great Movie Ride is the ultimate space to host your own lollipop guild.

A few surprise elements like The Wicked Witch and Glinda the Good Witch will have guests feeling like they’ve just stepped off a movie set – with memories to share for a lifetime!

Today is a big day for us here at Disney Parks as it marks the grand opening of New Fantasyland- the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom Park’s 41-year history. Last night, on Walt Disney’s 111th birthday, select media were invited to experience and celebrate New Fantasyland at a special preview party. Much to their surprise, they came into contact with a very special creature- a magnificent, majestic fire-breathing dragon!

If you haven’t already seen the footage of this amazing flying dragon, the below video is definitely worth a watch.

The best thing about an event at Walt Disney World Resort is the ability to customize every detail and infuse it with a little Disney magic. Take for example a recent rehearsal dinner “street party” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. With a set resembling New York itself, this couple was able to experience their dream of a destination wedding yet still feel right at home on the Streets of America. The ability to transform a space with unique touches like a hot dog street cart, basketball court, break dancers and Manhattan tour buses all while being fully immersed in a Disney Park is truly an experience like none other. It’s safe to say a tricked out Hummer (complete with neon lights) and spectacular DJ were the cherry on top of an unforgettable evening!
